Bijal Ladva

Inspire+ is a fantastic organisation and I am very proud to be involved with it.

I am a qualified optometrist and a director at four Specsavers businesses.

I studied at Bradford University. I have been a school governor at Barrowby Primary school since 2014.

In the past I have been involved in the steering group for the first Gravity Fields Festival in Grantham. I have been Regional Chair of the Nottingham, Derby and Lincolnshire Specsavers Directors, attending meetings with the National Board members. I have also been Chairman of the Grantham Business club, where we looked after the business interests of over 140 companies in Grantham.

I have 2 children who both attend Barrowby School and it was from their experiences with Inspire+, that led me to become involved.

Over the past few years, in partnership with inspire+. I have given talks to numerous primary schools about the importance of eye health, and given career talks to Secondary schools.

I have also been involved in the Business Skills Pathway, speaking and giving advice about interviews for university and job placements.
