Sarah Outen MBE

Sarah is a local adventurer who in November 2015 completed the amazing journey of London2London via the world using human power only; rowing, cycling and kayaking. Sarah became an ambassador for Inspire+ in 2014 whilst still on her 4 and a half year adventure. While Sarah was completing her adventure our schools had live satellite calls and email contact with Sarah. We created and published a scheme of work around Sarah's adventure to incorporate geography and science into the inspiration of Sarah's adventure for children to learn from. Sarah is now going to be visiting all our schools giving assemblies, holding workshops and giving talks about her adventure and aiming to inspire young people into getting out and active.

Shona McCallin MBE

Shona is a Olympic Hockey gold medallist from Rio 2016. She joined the Inspire+ ambassador team in  January 2017 and has already become such an inspiration within our schools. Shona is a local girl who attended Long Bennington Primary School & KGGS Secondary School, who through hard work and determination has achieved her goal. She emphasise this immensely throughout her assemblies and challenges the children if one of them could bring back the next Olympic gold.
