Sue was Chief Executive of Youth Sport Trust in 1995 becoming Chair of UK Sport in 2003. It was during her time at UK Sport that she oversaw a chapter of remarkable Olympic and Paralympic medal success for Team GB at the London 2012 Games. She then became Director of Women’s Football at The FA playing a pivotal role in the success of the Lionesses including appointing Sarina Wiegman, the first coach to win a major title when England won the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 and runners up at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023. Sue was named one of the top 100 most influential women in the country as part of the BBC Radio Four Woman’s Hour Power List in 2013 and is currently Chair of the Board at England Netball.

Sue has just published her first ever book The Game Changer where she shares the story of her extraordinary life and career for the very first time. Vincent Brittain, Founder and CEO of inspire+, is honoured Sue is joining us for the evening and regards Sue as one of the most inspirational people he knows and has heard speak. Vincent describes her work as transformational, the huge impact she has made on women’s and girls’ football at school, club and international level whilst at The FA is an example of this.
