Following on from the successes of the past five years, Carl Blackman (School Sports Officer) was keen to ensure that this year’s event was bigger and better than ever before, engaging as many children as possible.

Carl and the team spent hours at inspire+ HQ, drafting a reformatted version of the popular Mass Participation Event. Several frazzled brains later, the winning idea was confirmed… inspire+ was soon to release its first ever fitness video.………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Now that the idea was finalised, it was time to select the three fitness enthusiasts that would lead the exercises shown in the fitness video.

Sophie Allen, Sam Ruddock and Chris Graves stepped up to the mark! Equipped with an abundance of energy (and potentially some nerves), filming was ready to begin.

Sophie, Sam and Chris completed an exciting workout designed for everyone! The workout comprises of Jumping Jacks, Squat Jumps, Jogging, Sit Ups, Press Ups and much more…With different levels of intensity and complexity, the fitness video is accessible to all.………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Well did inspire+ achieve their aim of creating the best Mass Participation Event to date?

Absolutely!!!!

So far, the fitness video has reached over 2000 young people in the local area.

Carl said “After the success of our first fitness video, we now plan on releasing further videos across the next academic year with the hopes of getting many more involved in the fun!”
